Article: Haunted Hill 10/30/15
Cypress Hill’s Haunted Hill returned to the newly named Playstation Theater with Immortal Technique. The fellow Haunted Hill alumni, dubbed the venue the Sega Genesis Theater, due to lack of advanced house equipment such as a wireless microphone. Probably the funniest thing I have heard about that place but regardless, his one hour performance was superior compared to his 25 minute set he had at last year’s Haunted Hill. Cypress Hill even brought the widow of late Hip-Hop Aritist “Big Pun,” Liza Rios and his son Christopher Lee Rios Jr. by her side. With a surprise performance from Christopher Jr, the chants went from “RIP Pun” to “Christopher” to only have the climate shift immediately to Cypress Hill after he wowed the audience of 1,700+. Their one and a half hour performance spanned the best of the best songs and a full play through of “Temples of Boom” as a celebration of its 20 year release. Check out the photos and I am beyond happy to spend my All Hallow’s Eve with the legends of Hip-Hop.
