JOB FOR A COWBOY Confirm New Album Drummer

Job For A Cowboy frontman Jonny Davy confirmed that the band has recruited Navene Koperweis (Entheos, ex-Animals As Leaders) as studio drummer on their upcoming new album. The majority of studio sessions will take place in October/November with Jason Suecof (TriviumAll That Remains) as producer. Koperweis laid down parts last month.

Regarding how the new material will sound, Davy commented:

“We’re kind of looking at this as a sequel to ‘Sun Eater‘. The lyrical themes tie into the last record.”

“I would say this record is very similar to ‘Sun Eater‘ but we’re still trying to move the needle a bit, trying new things, kind of like we always have. I think that’s always been our motto, not to be stagnant and to just have fun with it, to try new things. I think everyone’s musical tastes changed a little bit over the years and our music kind of changes with it.”

Plans are in the works for a tentative release in the early months of 2021 via Metal Blade. The group are also in hopes to limited touring in support of the record.
