P.O.D/Flyleaf 7/24/13
San Diego legends “P.O.D (Payable on Death) embark on tour this summer with A&M/Octane recording artists “Flyleaf” in continuation of supporting their current album release “Murdered Love” The last time I photographed P.O.D was during The Rockstar Uproar Festival in 2012 at PNC Bank Arts Center. Flyleaf on the other hand, are supporting their New EP “Who we Are” and HAVE A NEW SINGER Kristen May after Lacey Sturms departure. This year they will be transferred from the ultra hot concrete floors of the PNC parking lot festival areas to the cool and atmospheric Highline Ballroom located on 16th street between 9th and 10th Avenue in Manhattan. The show was cut short for me due to a stomach illness which I received GRACIOUSLY during that week. The lights were mediocre and the photo pit was single file and extremely difficult to maneuver which was a poor combo for my favor. P.O.D’s “3 song rule” was cut to 2 due to excessive rowdiness from the crowd which sparked much anger from other photographers there. Check out the work below and support both bands.
