Prong 9/30/14

Nothing is better, than reuniting for a night of metal with friends. Whats even better, is being able to have a round two in New York City at their hometown show with them. Prong came back to NYC after a two year absence from their prior Prong on a boat show sponsored by Rocks Off and MetalInsider.Net for the C.M.J concert series (Note: it took them five years to come back in 2012, goes to show you they are hardly around the city now a day). When I say that their importance of coming to NYC is there, is that it truly is. The die hard fans entered Santos Party House (venue was originally suppose to be at the Gramercy Theater, but was removed for a secret show instead. Thank you very much Lady Antebellum). Once again, like the first time seeing them, I was up front and close to them at Santos, as I was when I first shot them on the blasted boat. The room was immensely dark and amidst a sea of flashes going off throughout the show by other photographers, I stayed tried and true to no flash policy out of respect for the band. I did sneak my LED lighting for 10 minutes and immediately removed it after band crew were eying my movement with the portable light. It was quite alright and out of respect and courtesy, I decided to NOT, be a photo jerk. Check out the set-list and the photos below. And one more thing. Prong deserves a bigger tour and a bigger venue. This show was another intimate setting to which I felt they did not deserve. Tommy, Jason, and Art, deserve to be on the bigger stages that other bands have graced in New York City. These guys work hard and are a damn good show to watch. That’s enough of my rant for this article, check out the material below.

Special thanks to the ENTIRE band for autographing my photos as well. 🙂

Band: Tommy Victor (Top Left), Art (Top Right). Bottom: Jason Christopher.
