Record Release Bash: Three Days Grace at Highline Ballroom 3/31/15

Three Days Grace BannerLets start this article off with a fact. I have been a Three Days Grace fan since they have released their self-titled back in 2003. The more startling fact, is that I have never seen them live in concert (even with past singer Adam Gontier as part of the fold). With newly acquired vocalist Matt Walst, the brother of Bassist Brad Walst, the band set off to Highline Ballroom in Manhattan to celebrate the release of their new album “Human”. This is the first album with Matt on lead vocals even though he contributed to songs in albums like Transit of Venus and the self-titled. The show itself, sponsored by Sirius XM channel Octane, was incredible. Matt’s transition to singing songs from previous albums was spectacular. The people got what they wanted to see, and I finally discovered that Matt can handle the reigns as one hell of a vocalist. With classics sung that night like “I Hate Everything About You”, “Never to Late”, “Riot”, and “Pain”, the show was non-stop adrenaline that propelled the new album to a positive plateau this band probably didn’t even need. I took it upon myself to see them a second time at IHeartRadio in Manhattan two days later for a private show. I expected a fun filled time and I got that. Along with a hoarse throat and ringing ears from singing so damn hard. Three Days Grace is back and nastier than ever. I am eager to see what goes beyond the Human album. Congratulations brothers!!!!
