TRIVIUM and Bethesda Team Up For The Elder Scrolls Online
If you haven’t known by now, Trivium’s Matt Heafy has maintained a heavy presence on Twitch during the pandemic last year and even before, streaming not only music, but his favorite video games. It would intrigue many to hear that Metal and gaming often collide, with Heafy being a long time fan of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Bethesda and Trivium announced their merger on August 19, 2021 for various projects.
Trivium’s new music video for “The Phalanx” brings the Metal and gaming world together yet again.
In an interview with NME Heafy stated, “Sometimes I wonder why I’m so into the imagery that you see in some of the greatest fantasy games out there, and I think it’s related to the fact that I got into games before I got into music,” he said. “I’ve always felt that games and metal are so synonymous, that they draw the same kinds of people–the underdog–into these fantasy realms.”
The Elder Scrolls Online Deadlands expansion will be released in November with Trivium’s new album In the Court of the Dragon released as of yesterday.
