Article: Van Halen… Yes, You Read This Correctly 8/9/15

Van Halen. That’s all you have to say to get my attention. PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey was the location for this massive extravaganza and quite possibly the biggest tour to embark in the past five years. Yeah, I went that far to stake that claim. Although there have been many tours to come and go in the Rock & Roll community, this one surely took the cake. With opening act and guitar prodigy Kenny Wayne Shepherd on board to follow this tour, you would sorely regret missing this tour. The sheer excitement of seeing both acts together was unbelievable as someone my age who clearly missed the 70’s (being born in the late 80’s will do that to you). Van Halen opened up with “Light Up the Sky,” “Runnin’ With the Devil” and “Romeo Delight.” We were immediately escorted out the photo area but singing Running With The Devil while photographing this act was definitively one of my biggest highlights of 2015. I won’t forget this event. Hell, watching Kenny Wayne Shepherd rip open a Jimi Hendrix’s “VooDoo Child (Slight Return)” was just awe-inspiring. There were just so many moments I can describe to you in the short time span we had to experience this and I will when the time is right.
